Deputy Jamie Payne

In May of 2018, Deputy Payne was hired by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office where he was assigned to the Jail Division. During his time assigned to the Jail Division, Deputy Payne served as a Field Training Officer where he trained many new Deputies and he also received an award for Meritorious Service.Deputy Payne transferred to the Road Patrol Division in May of 2021 where he focused on Criminal and Drug Interdiction.

In April of 2023, Deputy Payne transferred from the Road Patrol Division to Bethel Township. Deputy Payne resides with his wife and three children in Bethel Township and enjoys being able to serve in his own community. Deputy Payne employs a dual role as the Bethel Township Deputy by focusing his efforts in Community Policing, while also working to get drugs and guns off the streets. In Deputy Payne’s free time, he coaches Baseball and Football as a way to mentor the youth within the community.

Deputy Tyler Long

Deputy Long attended and graduated the Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training at Clark State Community College in 2016. Deputy Long was sworn in as a peace officer for the village of Enon in February of 2017. Deputy Long served the village for close to two years before being sworn in as a Deputy Sheriff for the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Long served the first few years of his career in the jail before transitioning to a road patrol position in 2021. Since his time as a road patrol deputy, he also is part of the SOT team (Specialized Operations Team) member for Clark County. In March of 2023, Deputy Long took a new assignment in Bethel Twp.
